THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C ¢ UJ N C | [ MEMORANDUM DEC 17 1984 December 12, 1984 TO: B. Kirk, City Administrator FROM: F.E. Peters., P. Eng., City Engineer SUBJECT: 30-minute Parking at Liquor Store ; Works and Services Committee, December l1ith, 1984 (SMT Reet NR RECOMMENDATION: That the parking en the south side of Marpote Avenue along the frontage of ‘the liquor store be designated as 30-minute parking. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS : ; A letter was received by the Committee from the Liquor Distribution Branch requesting that the existing 2-hour parking on Marpole Street in front of the store be changed to a 30-minute parking limit. . . Users of the liquor store normally require onty short duration.parking. Often there is no parking space available on the street because of the longer parking limits. This results in congestion on the street as customers look for parking spaces or double park while they do their business. The use of 30-minute parking-would provide the same kind of service as we now have in ‘front of City Hall at the Post Office. / a FlE. Peters; P. Eng-s” City Engineer FEP/sgqg R65
