June 7, 1993/1753 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act was held prior to iue Council Meeting of the Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, June 7th, 1993, at 7:30 p.m. Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, and R.H. Talbot, were in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, City Treasurer/Deputy Administrator J.G.S. Maitland, City Engineer LR. Zahynacz, Director of Planning C.R. Felip, Director of Building Permits and Inspections J.D. Shardlow, and Fire Chief J. Baillie. PUBLIC HEARING: Mayor Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2787 To incorporate the provisions of Section 507 Floodplain Management to all areas within the floodplain of the Coquitlam, Pitt, Fraser Rivers as a Floodplain Management Area, rather than only Agricultural Land Reserve areas. All lands within the floodplain of the Coquitlam, Pitt and Fraser River is affected. Correspondence was received from S. Osberg, 3156 Raleigh Street in opposition to the rezoning. Correspondence was received from: G.E. Terry, 337 Prairie Avenue, and also spoke regarding his opposition to the designation of Floodplain. Mr. P. 3hauman, 559 Laurier felt the Bylaw should allow existing dwellings, in the event they are destroyed by fire, to be rebuilt to the current habitable floor area. Bylaw No. 2790 To remove the designation "Parks and Recreation" and apply the designation "Apartment" to; Parcel A District Lot 174 Group One Plan LMP 5326 New Westminster District To revise the area extent of Development Permit Area "VI" to that shown on the map accompanying Council Agenda. Correspondence was received from S. Osberg, 3156 Raleigh Street in opposition to the rezoning. No one was present to speak regarding the proposed zoning amendment.
