TO ALL B. C. MUNICIPALITIES:

You may recall that you recently received a copy of a resolution
from the City of North York, Ontario setting out the resolution
with regard to the proposed Goods and Services Tax.

After due consideration, Council of the City of Quesnel at a
regular meeting held 15 October 1990 endorsed a resolution
whereby the City of Quesnel will conduct a referendum on this
subject in conjunction with the Municipal Election to be held on
November 17, .1990. .

Further, the resolution encouraged ail municipalities within the
Province of British Columbia to similarly conduct a referendum on
November 17. :

The City of Quesnel's referendum question will read as follows:

"Should the Federal Government impose the Goods and Services Tax?"
