RECOMMENDATION:

That City Council direct the Clerk's office to prepare a bylaw rezoning
Lot 30 of D.L. 231, om M-1 Industrial to c.p.

t of a building to house the B.C. Trucking

COMMENTS :

This application is to construct a building for the B.C. Trucking Association
in the Meridian Industrial Park. The application is being submitted, because
the extent of office Space proposed for this development exceeds the amount
permitted in the M~1 General Industrial zone.

The use, B.C. Trucking Association, is felt to be appropriate as it is a
service to many of the industrial operations located in the Mary Hill
Industrial Estate. For that reason, the Planning Department Suggested to the
applicant use of the c.p. Zone to indicate the special character of the

development as a service to industry.
