Wright In attendance, Also in attendance were Acting City Administrator and City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Clerk R.A. Freeman, Director of Commun ity Planning W.A. Brown and Parks & Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Mayor Traboulay advised he had made an error regarding Ist Reading of Bylaw No, 2185 and that in fact Ist Reading of Bylaw No. 2185 was carried.. as a two-thirds majority was not required in this Instance and the Council agreed. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Aiderman Farnworth: That the minutes of the Public Hearing held on May 26th, 1986 be taken as read and adopted and the minutes of the Regular Council. Traboulay introduced Master Randy Koufalis, winner of the "Most Promising filmmaker Award" and presented him with a plaque in recognition of his achievement. NP/02/86/06/09/02 His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. David Jackson, President, Canadian Steam Preservation & Industrial Archaeologica! Association, #5, 774 Columbia Street, New Westminster, B.C., who then made a presentation regarding the possibility of a "Cansteam, Steam Centre" in Port Coquitiam. Moved by Alderman Keryiuk: Seconded by Aiderman Stewart: That the Municipal Counci! of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam agree in principle to the Canadian Steam Preservation & Industrial Archaeological Association proposal to locate "Cansteam, Steam Centre" in the City of Port Coquitlam and that the proposal be referred to the Economic Development Committee for study and report to Council.
