Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That as recommended by the City Administrator, October 28th, 1977 Mr. Jim Boileau be appointed as Deputy Fire Chief commencing November lst, 1977. Carried. Alderman Traboulay congratulated the City on their choice of applicants. From the City Fire Chief October 27th, 1977 application for a permit to burn debris at 3755 Coast Meridian Road. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That the application for permit to burn old lumber and boards, branches and shrubs at 3755 Coast Meridian Road be denied. | Carried. Aldermen Laking and Keryluk voted against the resolution. Prior to passage of the resolution Alderman Ranger advised developers could haul away the debris and save the need for burning. From the City Fire Chief October 27th, 1977 application for a permit to burn 50 truck loads of brush, trees, limbs and tops, and stumps (if allowed), at 3554 Woodland and 2731 Kitchener. Moved by Alderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the application for a permit to burn brush, trees, tree tops and stumps at 3554 Woodland and 2731 Kitchener be denied. Carried. Alderman Laking voted against the resolution.
