September 9th, 1974 the City Engineer agreed that there are certain aspects that are non-conform— ing which could be rectified by subdivision. The City Planner advised that the owner wishes to subdivide, sell one portion and retain the other. Alderman Laking stated he was not convinced that another industry should be developed in that area, and Alderman Traboulay stated he agreed with the view stated by Alderman Laking. The City Planner pointed out that this is strictly a sub- division application - there is no indication as to the use of the land, and the only way to stop the subdivision is by reverting the zoning from Industrial to Residential. Moved by Alderman Lakine: Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That the application of Huntington Rubber Ltd. to subdivide its present site at Davies Avenue into two parcels be tabled for two weeks and that it be further examined by the appropriate Committees.
