The School District 43 has advised that as soon as their staff return from vacation they will be considering further the control of pedestrians at the intersection. Item V Re: Langan Avenue West of Broadway Traffic counts are presently being taken on Langan Avenue. The R.C.M.P. and the By-Law Officer are continuing their vigilance in watching for trucks. Requests are being forwarded to the Planning and Zoning Committee and to the Fire Chief as to the effects of the closure requested by Mr. Sutter at the Council Meeting of July 23, 1973. , PUBLIC WORKS Item £ Re: Water Connection -— District of Coquitlam See attached letter dated July 23, 1973. The Public Works Committee feels that this is the first of what well might possibly be a number of requests for additional water service to this area of the District of Coquitlam. The District of Coquitlam have alr2ady agreed to limit the service provided by the City to the existing eight residences on Devon and Laurier. The City agreed to provide water service to the eight existing residences for Public Health reasons, The committee recommends that this request contained in the letter of July 23, 1973 be denied.
