Stewart, Alder'man G. Laking and Cit Treasurer J. Maitland. ITEMS DISCUSSED: The Committee discussed the budget report (distributed separately) for the month of April 1988. Operating budgets The Committee noted that all departments seem to be within budget with minor variances but overall withinoperating budget. The Committee did have some questions on individual items within the statement: rentals at Hyde Creek, PoCo Rec Centre and at the Library are substantially less than expected and the Committee discussed that reporting of the usage of the rooms should be made according to the use, so that Council can have some idea of the amount of free or subsidized rental which is given. The Treasurer commented that this type of information can be expected with the new recreation programs to be implemented on the computer scheduled for late this fall, Room —:. ~ el j JI I I Amounts spent on the maintenance accounts for parking lots both in the public works and parks areas are all than last years history shows and the Committee ishigher requesting information on this from the Engineer. The amount spent on our municipal dump site is 85,000 and the Committee is requesting information as to what work was done at the dump. Continued Page 2.
