In a period of two weeks on the Love Boat, Murray Hatfield and Company performed six 20-minute shows. Hatfield’s ambition is to some day compete with Doug Han, another very famous magician. Christmas brings a five week tour of exciting adventures for Hatfield. “We'll be part of a magical variety show out of L.A. in the States. It’s the first time in eight years that they’ve had a Canadian magician on their show.’’ Hatfield concludes by saying, “7m very excited about this venture since Ray Pierce will also be ap- pearing on this variety show.”” Hatfield’s past presen- tations include two tours in Europe, where they entertained army troups. In his homeland the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede were a success along with the Northgate Mali in Regina, the Chateau at Lake Louise, and Panaroma Ski |] Resort, to name a few. Brenda Fox, Hat- field’s very beautiful assistant, has been with the show for two years. I’ve been working with magicians for about 10 years and I enjoy it very much, said Fox. © At 16 years of age, Fox took modelling which taught her poise, stage walking, and the art of putfing on make up. Travelling is very ex- citing, said Fox. So is working in front of an audience, ‘‘it’s hard to explain’’, she added. Some may also remember Bryan in Volvo commercials and aspen gum commercials. Bryan’s objective is the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. Bryan is the only ventriloquist who uses standing pup- pet dolls. ‘‘No one else does that,’’ he stated. His most famous pup- pet, Nose Worthy, was a hit with everyone.
