Consequently, the preliminary analysis is based on licensed facilities, categorized by type, number of facilities and number of beds, and nature of clients, using the data base of Community Care Facility Licencing records. The inventory is based on the class of facilities licensed in the Community Care Facility Act as "Specialized Residential Care*.' This category does not include larger scale intermediate care facilites. The highlights of the findings are presented in the next section.? 2. Licensed Group Home Inventory A. Regional Distribution of Licensed Facilit Table 1 shows the distribution of licensed group home facilities. The GVRD has a total 366 licensed group home facilities. Vancouver has the most facilities, 107 (29.23% of the total), followed by Burnaby (13.93 %) and Surrey (13.11%).. West Vancouver has the fewest facilities (0.82%).
