As part of the effort to solve the Mary Hill water problem, it is - proposed that an extra 150 mm PRV be installed in the Lion’s Park Fressure Reducing Station for the following reasons: . ‘Le To reduce restriction and thereby providing better flow. To pravide a more efficient operation of the Pressure Reducing Station during low flows. To provide a stand-by flow route in the event of a fault in the sole PRV leading to a breakdown of water supply to Downtown and Mary Hill. Tt is also proposed that a pressure recorder be installed in the Lion’s Park Pressure Reducing Station for the following reasons: To monitor the pressure variations in the GVWD supply main and the PRV output main. To provide a better means of response to the operation of the Penny Place booster pump controls. To provide the necessary data for the analysis of the water supply network system of the southern part of the City. SUMMARY : To provide better pressure and flaw ta Mary Hill and to assist in long term City water planning, the fallawing additions are proposed to the Lion’ s Park Pressure Reducing Station : Estimated Cost 1 No. 150 mm Pressure reducing valve $ 3,150.00 c/w pilot attachments, fittings, twin pilot strainers, shut off valves and tubings 1 Set Twin-pen pressure recorder 2 FON.O0 Installation by the City’s own crew Contingencies s 2200.0
