We are again divided on the zoning of a piece of property, with road
closures and City land included in the area commonly known as the
Shaughnessy Corridor.

From time to time over the past year some wembers of Council have requested
that the Planning: and zoning Committee study the area.and come to Council
with a firm recommendation (this was also rromised at the Public Information
Meetings in regard io the apartment develorment at Shaughnessy and
Hawthorne over a year ago). .

Now we read in the proposals for the Community Plan that the corridor
should be part of that planning.

I would move that ‘Council fnstruct the Planning and Zoning Committee to
bring in a firm recommendation by the 28th of September, 1981, on the
Shaughnessy Corridor.
