Prive Elementary School on November 27th, 1977 to discuss a ae mu ass
proposed 36-lot subdivision on Cedar Drive. ; . ,

Representing the City at the meeting were the Chairman
of the Planning and Zoning Committee, Alderman Laking, Co-Chair-
man, Alderman Traboulay, City Administrator, L.D. Pollock, City
Clerk, R.A. Freeman, City Engineer, V.G. Borch, and Planning
Officer, L. Lee, Aiderman Keryluk was also in attendance.
Representing the proposed development was Mr. W. Knechtel.

About 25 residents were present.

_ Mr. Knechtel gave a brief explanation of the proposed
subdivision. Mr. Lee described the zoning, present and future
lane use in the Cedar Drive area. Mr. Borch then outlined the
engineering requirements for the proposed development.

A resident on Pinemont questioned about storm sewers
in the area and said that she had a serious problem with drain-
age on her property. Mr. Borch replied that improvements to storm
sewers would be undertaken in conjunction with the proposed
subdivision, and said he hoped that it might help correct part
or all of her problem.

A great deal of discussion was centered on traffic on
Pinemont. A-number of residents on Pinemont expressed concern
that the. proposed subdivision would generate a serious traffic
problem. on Pinemont as they felt that most motorists would use ry
Pinemont as the access to Cedar Drive. They suggested that an : _—_£% Pt. M524
acditional access directly from the proposed subdivision be : : , wee

provided. The desire for sidewalks on Pinemont was also mentioned. . : > ;

Some residents expressed dissatisfaction with the lack
of park facilities for children.
