THIS AGREEMENT made the day of in the year of our Lord one thousand nine hundred and seventy BETWEEN: DISTRECT OF COQUITLAM, a municipal corporation incorporated under the “Municipal Act", R.S.B.C., 1960, and amendments thereto, (hereinafter called "the District"). OF THE FIRST PART THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM, a municipal corporation incorporated under the “Municipal Act:, R.S.B.C., 1960, and amendments thereto, (hereinafter called "the City "). OF THE SECOND PART WHEREAS the District is the Qwner in fee simple of land situate ‘lying and being in the Municipality of Coquitlam, Province of British Columbia, and more particularly known and described as: Lot Fifty-six (56) of District Lot Three Hundred and Eighty-one (381), Group ‘One (7), New Westminster District, Plan Thirty-seven Thousand Qne Hundred and Sixty-nine (37769), . "AND WHEREAS the District and the City have constructed upon the Said lands a building known as the Justice Building (hereinafter called "the Justice Building"); AND WHEREAS the City has paid one-third (1/3) of the construction costs, and the District two-thirds (2/3); AND WHEREAS the City agreed with the District to pay to the District a portion of the costs for the maintenance, administration and operation of the said lands and fixtures and equipment therein contained; AND WHEREAS pursuant to section 644 of the Municipal Act, R.S.B.C. 1960 and amending acts, but Subject to the Administration of Justice Act and the Police Act and section 643 of the said Municipal Act, it is the duty of each municipality to bear the expenses necessary to generally maintain Jaw and order in the municipality; and provide an office for the police force in the municipality and provide Premises as a place of detention or make an agreement with some other municipality for the use as required of an office or of premises as a place of detention; NOW THIS AGREEMENT WITNESSETH THAT in consideration of the mutual
