DOGWOOD AGENCIES, 2280 Elgin Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.Ce, 16 October, 1975. 60 The City Clerk | N C The City of Port Coquitlam, ocT 20 1975 2272 McAllister Avenue, PORT COQUITLAM, B.C. Dear Sir: Re: Permit Undercanopy Sign We are a new gift shop open as of 1 October 1975 at the above address. . We have purchased a. custom-made 1* x 4* ‘sign with a 36" fluorescent tube which we would like to hang in front of our store. Upon meeting with Mr. N. Chernoff of the Engineering Department this morning, we were informed that this would be against a City by-law because the sign would overhang on City property. Our sign would be attached to existing electrical wiring left from the previous tenant's sign and it would be in addition to five other signs of the same size belonging to other merchants along Elgin Avenue. If the sign was hung in the manner we request we would receive advertising coverage both from Shaughnessy Street and Elgin Avenue - this would be most beneficial in our out-of-way location. | If we are not nllowed to hang she sign in the above manner, we feel it would affect our business adversely. We would greutly appreciate it if you would give this request your earliest consideration. Thank you. Yours very truly, (Mre.) E. Campbell, Owner. Met &°.
