That this application be approved to proceed for rezoning from M-2 (Heavy Industrial) to CD (Comprehensive Development) under Section 963 of the Municipal Act subject to: a) Completion of a design to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning; b) Completion of Engineering Department requirements; c) Satisfaction of Building Department concerns; d) Satisfaction of Fire Department concerns; e) Submission of a landscape plan to the satisfaction of the Parks & Recreation Department; f) The project being subject to 1993 rates for Development Cost Charges; and 2?) Issuance of a Development Permit; That the Planning Department be authorized to draft Development Permit No. 57/933 That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the documents when completed subject to the conditions noted above. BACKGROUND: A Rezoning and Development Permit Application has been received for the construction of a Retail Mall Complex at the corner of Lougheed Highway and Shaughnessy Street. The site is currently zoned M-2 (Heavy Industrial) and is designated for "Neighborhood Commercial” in the OCP.
