DISCUSSION: Approval of this development permit will enable the construction of an apartment building within the Downtown Apartment District. The building conforms to all requirements of the Zoning Bylaw. No variances in siting or height are being requested. Indoor and outdoor recreation areas have been provided in the amount required by Zoning. Furthermore, the parking provided exceeds the number of parking spaces required by the Bylaw. As this building conforms to all aspects of the Zoning Bylaw and complies with the design guidelines for Development Permit Area VI, it is recommended that this application be approved subject to the conditions noted above.
