That the Consulting Engineer services for the Maple Creek Internal Drainage Study be awarded to Associated Engineering Ltd. based on the bid of $7,875. That $7,875 be allocated from the 1991 Public Works Capital for this purpose. Background & Comments The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Deputy City Engineer regarding consulting engineering services for a study of the Maple Creek drainage area. This study is required to determine the causes and possible solutions to the flooding problems in the Bedford Street area which was experienced in November, 1990. This study would involve investigating drainage areas and facilities in both the City of Port Coquitiam and the District of Coquitlam, modelling existing pipes and open channels within the catchment area, and recommendations for improvements to the existing drainage systems in Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam.
