SUBJECT: Architect New Library.

RECOMMENDATION :

That Mr. Ib Hanson be appointed Architect for the new
library at a flat fee of $120,000 and that the Mayor and City Clerk
‘be authorized to sign the attached contract with Mr. Hanson.

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS:

Mr. Hanson was retained by the City to prepare the
schematic design for the Library prior to the referendum for a fee
of $10,000, this amount while already paid forms part of the flat
fee for the whole project.

Attached is the contract for Mr. Hanson which has been
reviewed by various staff members as well as the City Solicitors.
