From the City Administrator, November 5th, 1976, advising that the
City's By-law Officer, Mr. R.G. Criggie, has requested authority to
attend a new course recently introduced by B.C.1.T. for persons involved
in Court procedures.

That as recommended in a memorandum from the City Administrator,

November 5th, 1976, the City's Senior By-law Officer, Mr. R.G. Criggie,

be authorized to attend a 5-day course entitled "Evidence and Court Procedures"

. from November 22nd to 26th, 1976 at B.C.I.T., and that the fee therefore in

the amount of $200.00 be paid by the City. Carried.
From the City Administrator, November 5th, 1976, advising that the

Greater Vancouver Regional District would like a reply as to whether or

not the City of Port Coquitlam wishes to participate in Labour Relations

as a function of the G.V.R.D. for 1977.

That with respect to a memorandum from the City Administrator,

November 5th, 1976, concerning a proposal that municipal labour relations

become a function of the Greater Vancouver Regional District in 1977, a
letter be sent to the G.V.R.D. advising that the City of Port Coquitlam

does not wish to participate therein. Carried.
Aldermen Laking and Mabbett voted against the resolution.

From the Senior Building Inspector, November 4th, 1976, advising of
the recommendation made by the Building & Protection Committee with
respect to the naming of the short street off Cornwall Drive.

Moved by Alderman Keryluk:

Seconded by Alderman Ranger:

That the recommendation of the Building & Protection Committee as
set forth in a memorandum from the Senior Building Inspector, November

4th, 1976, that the short street off Cornwall Drive be named "Cornwall

Piace", be approved. Carried.
