Convention, 1972 The 1972 convention of the Union ef British Columbia Municipalities will be held in the Hotel Vancouver commencing at 9:15 A.M. on Wednesday, September 13, 1972 and continuing through until Friday, September 15th. Pre registration facilities will cormence at 2 P.M. Tuesday, September 12th on the convention floor, Hotel Vancouver. Would it be possible forthe Council to advise at this time whether or not. they will be attending the convention in order that we may make the necessary registration arrangements. With respect to eccommodation since the convention is being held so close to home may we suggest that each Alderman make whatever reservation arrangements for himself that he thinks is appropriate and in this connection we have been advised thar the Hotel Vancouver is reserving 400 rooms for the conventicn; the Hetel Georgia 200 rooms; and the Hotel Devonehire 50 rooms; and if it is the Alderman's intention to stay at either of these three hotels they should mention that they are registering for the purpose of attending the convention.
