The following comments are from munieLpalities which have been contacted concerning a continuing education program policy for Exempt Staff: Port Moody: Port Moody has considered a post-graudate training program and has only received one request to date. Port Moody notes that it has not specifically promoted M.B.A. programs. Port Moody pays 100% of tuition and books on succesaful completion of each course. surrey Surrey has supported post-graduate training programs and has not set a limit as yet. Surrey notes that 7 to 8 employees took such training a couple of years ago with 4 to 3 employees taking training now. This training is limited to senlor managers. Surrey refunds 75% or a percentage scored cn the course taken, whichever is higher. District of North Vancouver: The District of North Vancouver stated that it may consider such a program and fund it by 504, including text. Richmond: aos Richmond has supported post-graduate training programs depending on the funds available in the training kidget. Richmond notes that it would limit the numbers and the criteria would depend on the value of the training to the Clty. It notes that reimbursement or partial reimbursement would be negotiable. Greater Vancouver Regional District: The GVRD has supported such requests in the past. GVRD notes that they have partly funded two cases to date but adds that funding could be in full. Delta: Delta notes that it does not have a post-graduate training program but that it would consider it; Delta has not received any requests to date. .
