A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on April 6th, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, ‘.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., City Treasurer J.G,S. Maitland, Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, and Deputy Pire Chief J.N. Boileau. ZONING PUBLIC HEARINGS: His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking advised the meeting the following proposed By-laws to amend the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1979, No. 1651" would now be considered: By-law No. 1826: To rezone Lots 5 and 6 of Lot 3, Block 32, District Lot 464, Group 1, Plan 14791 New Westminster District, from RS-1l to RM-4, This property is located at 1936/48 Coquitlam Avenue and the rezoning fs t sing undertaken to permit the construction of a 3 storey apartment building with 32 dwelling units on the property that is the subject of the rezoning. Mrs. M.E. Boulet, 1927 Coquitlam Avenue, inquired about the upgrading of Coquitlam Avenue and was advised by the City Engineer that no specific plans existed at this time. Mr. W.W. Coutts, 1961 Suffolk Avenue, inquired if the proposed apart- ment would be strata title and the Architect advised that such was the case. The Architect, representing the owner, gave a short description of the proposed development.
