From the Lower Mainland Municipal Association, November 2nd, 1976,
being a notice of a meeting to be held on November 25th, 1976 in Maple
Ridge. Alderman Keryluk indicated he planned to attend the meeting;
however, Alderman Laking stated he would be unable to due to the fact
that he will be attending the Parks Advisory Association meeting on the
same date - also in Maple Ridge.

From the PoCo Happy Times Preschool], November 2nd, 1976, being an
application for a license to hold a lottery monthly until June, 1977,

with prizes of not over $100.00 in value and profit under $1,000.00.

That as requested in a letter from the PoCo Happy Times Preschool,

November 2nd, 1976, that organization be granted permission to hold a

lottery monthly, from November, 1976 until June, 1977. Carried.

From the PoCo Dreamers, Canadian Calorie Counters, Branch 72,
November 5th, 1976, requesting permission for a licence to hold a lottery
from November 8th to December 8th, 1976, with the value of the prize
being $60.00.

That the application from the PoCo Dreamers, Branch 72 of the
Canadian Calorie Counters, November 5th, 1976, for a license to hold a

lottery from November 8th to December 8th, 1976, be approved.

REPORTS:

From Alderman E.W. Mabbett, November 3rd, 1976, referring to a
resolution passed at the October 25th, 1976 Council meeting supporting
the use of automobile seat belts, and recommending a policy be established
whereby operators of City-owned or leased vehicles be required to use
seat belts at all times.

Seconded by Alderman Thompson:

That a policy of the City of Port Coquitlam be established requiring

operators of City~owned or leased vehicles to use seat belts at all

times, where possible;

AND THAT all said vehicles advertise with bumper stickers, the

I.C.B.C. Seat Belt Campaign. Carried.
Alderman Keryluk voted against the resolution.
