That the following recommendations made in the January 19th, 1976
report of the Leisure Activies Committee be approved, and they be wished

every success in their Carnival:

1. That the Port Coquitlam Figure Skating Club be permitted to use
Arena I for the purpose of their carnival from 3:30 p.m. February 27th
to 10:30 p.m. February 29th, 1976.

2. That the Figure Skating Club be billed for their non-performance
hours which amount to a total of 24 3/4 hours.

3. That they be given their performance times free of charge for a
total of 124 hours.

4. That the use of the Mabbett Room be denied due to the fact that
recreation programmes are in session during the day and a dance is
booked for the evening.

45. That they pay the cost of removing and reinstalling the wire mesh

in Arena I at a cost of $305.12,

6. Yhat the City of Port Coquivlan operate an expanded concession with

7. That the City of Port Coquitlam cancel their Pubiic Skiting session
in Arena II on February 28th from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. to eccommodate
the Minor Hockey Association of Port Coquitlam who have organized an

exhibition game with the Vancouver Canuck Oldtcimers.

8. That the Figure Skating Club have their last performance on Saturday

to finish before the exhibition nockey game.

Speaking to his resolution, Alderman Ranger suggested that altheuch
the Committee was hesitant to cancel the Family Skating Programme on
Sunday, it was an opportunity for those of the taxpayers who did nor
skate to participate in the use of the new facilities which are paid for
by the taxpayer.
