Danielle Hébert, one of Vancouver's
finest artists, and help celebrate the
release of her new album
“Aventuriére accidentelle.”

Danielle’s career caught fire after
she won both the singer-songwriter and people awards at
B.C.’s Gala provincial de la Chanson in 1995, and a SOCAN
song award in Winnipeg.

Danielle invites you to an intimate evening, combining
Francophone music, jazz and modern music. Come enjoy
her music, her deep, warm voice, her richly evocative lyrics,
and the guitar from which she extracts fresh and
compelling sounds.

Acadian-born Edith Butler is a flag-
bearer for Acadian heritage and the
francophone culture in Canada.

Her numerous awards include the
1983 Grand prix de l'Académie
Charles Cros, and three Felix prizes at the Quebec Music
Industry Gala, including Best stage performance (1985) and
Best international recognition (1986). She also received the
Prix international de la chanson francaise (1981). She is an
Officer of the Order of Canada and holds several honorary
knighthoods, including Chevalier de |’'Ordre des
francophones d’Ameérique.

You will hear her classics as well as songs from her latest,
27th album, Madame Butlerfly, |egendes intemporelles : a
surprising disc combining Native with Celtic and Moorish
sounds, its roots running deep within traditions evolved
over four centuries (French, English, Algonquin, Huron...).
Yet this is a thoroughly modern album, which will delight
not only Edith Butler's long-time fans but also a larger,
more eclectic audience devoted to the likes of Enigma and
Deep Forest.
