From the Planning and Zoning Committee, May 3rd, 1979 with respect Planning & Zoning Comm, re to an application (R#8-79) to rezone properties at 3185 Flint Street R#8/79 — 3185 Flint St. from CS-1 (Service Commercial) and RS-1(Single-Family Residential) to CD (Comprzhensive Development) to permit redevelopment of the existing grocery store and a 7-unit townhouse apartment project and recommending that the application preceed to Public Hearing. The City Planner briefly outlined the proposal. During the discussion which ensued prior to passage of the resolution quoted above, Alderman Ranger expressed concern over the proposed exit from the Parking Lot onto Flint Street and its proximity to the inter- section with Prairie Avenue and the Pedestrian activated traffic signal and requested that the same be referred to the Public Works Committee for further review. From the City Planner, May 10th, 1979 concerning proposed developments City Planner May 10/79 re in the 3100 Block Oxford and York Streets and an application from the 3100 BJk.York -Lutheran Ch. Lutheran Church to rezone its property from RS-1 (Single Family Residential) to P-2 (Special Institutional) in order to construct a new church and an additional proposal for development of the surreunding property. The City Planner reviewed the existing and proposed developments and outlined some of the problems encountered respecting possible 'land~lock' situations which could arise and further explained siting locations considered by the Church and himself. Representatives of the Church were in attendance and offered comments regarding their proposal.
