SUBJECT: Pavement Settlement in the Rosewood Area

Blaine Anderson, our Public Works Foreman II, has advised me that there are
several areas in the vicinity of 2890 Rosewood which have settled as a result of road base
or sub base failure. Several dozen small to medium sized birdbaths are evident along
Rosewood, Larkspur, and Barberry, with the most severe case located at 2890 Rosewood.
The road and driveway letdown have settled to such an extent as to allow water to spill
over the driveway letdown during times of heavy rainfall. Several of the areas residents
have expressed their concerns due to the settlement problems and resulting drainage

problem.

I would request that you review the photographs enclosed with the Public Works
Committee for the purpose of obtaining budget funds in the amount of $3765 for the
installation of one catch basin and lead.
