C. \ Your Worship and Members: The PoCoMo Boy's and Girl's Club presently finds itself without office space. For the past three years, the PoCoMo Boy's and Girl's Club has been using the storage room in Meridian Village for their office. The facility, although rather antiquated, allowed our club to provide services to children throughout Coguitlam, Port Coquitlam, and Port Moody. For many years, the Boy's and Girl's Club has provided services to children, including disadvantaged and handicapped, by the way of recreational, cultural and educational activities with the focus being upon the individual child rather than upon the activity itself. - Our. mission .is to provide behaviour guidance and to promote the health, social, educational, vocational and character development of boys and girls. ‘The way we provide this is to be an advocate for youth through volunteerism, community involvement, interaction with young people, individualized approaches, guidance, good citizenship and leadership training. For the past seven years, PoCoMo has responded to the needs in the ity by providing programs which include outdoor, social recreational, physical, social group work; arts and crafts, drop-in activities, leadership and individual services.
