Alderman Ranger advised the Trinity United Church would like to put up a pew at a bus stop near the church. Moved by Aiderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That Trinity United Church be granted permission to place a pew at a bus stop close to the church. Carried. Alderman Laking referred to the costs of ice rental for the Figure Skating School in August and at his request City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng. made a presentation to Council explaining the cost per hour for operating the ice arena. He then calculated the cost for running the arena with the ice surface for the month of August at $26.75. Following the presentation, Alderman Mabbett recommended the City charge the Figure Skating Club $30.00 per hour for the rental of the ice arena for the month of August. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That as recommended by Alderman Mabbett the rental charge to the Figure Skating Club for the ice arena for the month of August be $30.00 per hour. Carried. + Prior to passage of the foregoing resolution Recreation Director Janna Taylor advised that nc summer tennis programs would be interrupted as tennis programs are not carried into August because of poor attendance in the past. Alderman Thompson suggested that the City look ince opening the concession stands during the month of August. Alderman Traboulay reminded the meeting that this was the last Council meeting City Engineer V.G. Borch, P. Eng. would be in attendance.
