From the Public Works Committee of November 5th, 1980 recommending that the No Left Turn sign at Shaughnessy Street and Elgin Avenue be changed to read 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for traffic in both directions. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: ‘Public Works ‘Comm. , rei: ‘No Left Turn ‘Shaughnessy & Elgin. Sts. Seconded by Alderman Traboulay: That as recommended by the Public Works Committee, November Sth, 1980 the No Left Turn sign at Shaughnessy and Elgin be changed to read 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. to effect traffic proceeding in both directions on Shaughnessy Street. Carried. Prior to passage of the above noted resolution Alderman Wright suggested that the time be changed to start at 3:30 p.m., however, Alderman Traboulay advised that the 4:00 p.m. time was a standard starting time for restrictions auch as this. Alderman Mabbett stated that the time should not be made any earlier than absolutely necessary as the left turn restrictions affected i i merchants on Elgin Avenue. ‘No, 1776 ~ BY-LAWS: Final Rdg.
