In addtion to the foregoing the Provincial Housing Branch has offered to assist

the Committee as there are a number of financing plans available if. the City

was to get into a mobile home park development or building on the City owned land °
financing may be available. Contractors have indicated that financing is one of
the main cost consideraticns and can be up to $1,000.00 on a unit during the. course
of construction, In this interim report the Committee has merely set out some of
the areas investigated and Council will recognize that a considerable amount of
work will be required following up the areas investigated by the Committee. ~The
Committee recommends that the Mayor appoint a Housing Committee for 1975 in order
that these alternatives may be further reviewed.
