“From the Fire Prevention Officer, March 19th, 1976, advising of an
application received for permission to burn scrub brush on a blueberry
farm located at 3540 Devon Road.

That the application from Mrs. Vera Harvey, March 18th, 1976, for

permission to burn scrub brush on her blueberry farm located at 3540

Devon Road, be granted, Carried.

From Alderman M.A. Thompson, March 22nd, 1976, suggesting that in

view of the amount of preparation to be done on the 1976 Budget, the

ny Council place discussions thereon in a priority position by setting up a

strict schedule of budget meetings and that if any regularly scheduled
Council meetings conflict therewith, the budget meetings take precedence.

A discussion ensued, and it was generally agreed that budget meetings
be held this week on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m., Wednesday at 5:00 pem., and
Thursday at 4:00 p.m., and on Monday of next week at 7:00 p-m. Alderman
Thompson then pointed out that ise Budget meetings are Open to the public
and invited any persons who so wished, to attend.

The subject of self-serve gas stations that had been deferred
earlier this evening was again submitted for consideration, and the
following motion was proposed:

That as recommended in a report from Alderman E.W, Mabbett, March

ae, 9th, 1976, the Council of the City of Port Coquitlam set a limit on the

number of Self-serve Gas Stations in the City, and that the limit be not

more than 20% of the total number of gas station outlets in Port Coquitlam.
