TO: Mayor and Council DATE: January 10, 1974 FROM: Planning and Zoning Committee The Planning and Zoning Committee met on Wednesday, January 9, 1974, and reviewed the reviewed the following items: 1, Strata Title Application SS#6-73 Council will recall that during 1973 the property at the corner of Lougheed and Hastings was the subject of a rezoning to permit the construction of a cluster unit development. This project is under way and the developers have now made application to have the property subdivided by strata title plan. The Committee has reviewed the application and recommends it for approval. The buiiding conforms in every way with the City regulations and the owners have previously deposited funds with the City to take care of all off-site servicing requirements. The Committee therefore recommends approval subject to the City's strata title procedure being followed. 2. Rezoning Application R#24-73 This application concerns a request for rezoning of property at the corner of Pitt River Road and Pooley Avenue located at 1575 Pitt River Road. The applicant has requested rezoning from RS-2 to RS-1 Single Family Residential to permit subdivision of the land for single family dwellings. The Committee feels that there is still a critical water situation on the south side of town and in view of the number of parcels of land that are presently under subdivision that no further rezoning should take place until the major improve- ments to the water system are substantially under way.
