The Cents oul-shot Ihe Braves 67-11 over. the course of the game and oul-scored Ihem 4-0 with Barry Dubnyk earning the first shul-out.of Ihe PNWHL's 1974-75 Season. -. The HNurns Lake Braves started the game with only fourteen men, including goalie Dule Stanyer who; after a shaky start, seltled down and kept the Cents from adding to their out- pul on several occasions. The Braves raster was further cul in the first period when Norm Richards skated off the ice with whal appeared to be a leg in- jury. and (then again late in third when Dallas Burns went olf, Burns apparently had his conlact: lens. driven “into the corner of his eye during (he play. From lhe. start the Braves had - organizational problems and could not gel their attack moving. . By the end af the game, the younger and strenger Centennial legs were carrying ‘all the play. Neeld picked up a loose puck al the point and drove a low shal pasl Slanyer. Thal goal was the only one of the first period. The Braves started the second on the wrong foot, picking up a double minor at 2:37 and while they played twa men short Larry Woods picked up the puck in theslotat the tail end of a nice three way passing play involving himself, Bobby DesChamps and Norm Neeld. Woods tock the shot that hand- cuffed Stanyer and gave the Cents a 2-0 edge. - Ten minutes later Rob McFee finished off an exciting ice long rush by beating Stanyer and ihe Cents were oul in front 3-0, Before the period Terrace had counted their final marker, Rick Misenir skating into a mab in front of the Braves net and shoving home a loose puck.
