Both natural and flavored
yogurt seem to be gaining
popularity inthe Canadian diet,
In 1973 Canada prodiced ap-
proximately 3.01 million gallons
of yogurt, whereas in 1970, the
figure. was about 1.76 million
gallons. The 1973 production
figure represents a 70.87 per-
cent increase over the last four
years. Canadian per capita
consumplion of yogurt in 1973
was about 1.52 Ibs. and this is
expected (o rise in 1974,
