A Special In-Camera meeting of the Council Committee of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on May 20th, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance was Acting-Chief Administrative Officer R.A. Freeman. COMMITTEE BUSINESS: His Worship the Mayor distributed copies of a letter from Thorne, Stevenson, and Kellog, Management Consultants. dated February 10th, 1981 and addressed to the former City Administrator concerning, a study of the Engineering Department and, specifically, the tnhen-Assistant City Engineer. After the letter had been read by members of Council no further action was taken. His Worship the Mayor referred to a memorandum addressed to him from the Acting-City Administrator under date of May 15th, 1981 referring to the 1981 pay scales for the position of Administrator, Planning Officer, and Assistant City Engineer and asking for direction concerning the amount that. should be paid to the Acting-City Administrator. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That the former incumbents of the positions of Administrator, ‘Planning Officer, and Assistant Engineer be paid for their services in the year 1981 in accord with the pay scale contained in the letter of May 5th, 1981 from the Greater VAncouver Regional District, increased by 14%; | AND THAT the Acting-Administrator be paid at the top of the pay scale for the Administrator.
