A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of the Corporation of the City of Port
Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2580 Shaughnessy
Street, Port Coquitlam, BC on Monday, January 18th, 1993, at 7:30 p.m.

Mayor L.M. Traboulay and Councillors M.D. Gates, M.J. Gordon, J.J. Keryluk, R.H.
Talbot, M.A. Thompson, and M.R. Wright were in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk S. Rauh, Director of
Planning C.R. Felip, and Director of Building Permits & Inspections, J.D. Shardlow.
CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES:

Seconded by Councillor Talbot:

That the minutes of the Special Council Meeting of January 9th, 1993, and Public Hearing
and Regular Council meeting held on January 11th, 1993 be taken as read and adopted.

DELEGATIONS:
His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay introduced Mr. Paul Hundel, Lower Mainland

Watershed Coalition, who gave a presentation regarding endorsement of the GVRD Long Range
Budget Plan.

Moved by Councillor Thompson:
That the City Clerk be instructed to invite Mr. Hosley Brandt, GVRD Water District, and

Mr. Paul Hundel, Lower Mainland Watershed Coalition, to address Council regarding
endorsement of the GVRD Long Range Budget Plan.

Councillor Wright introduced a Position Paper regarding GVRD Powers, Structure, and
Functions.

Seconded by Councillor Talbot:

That the Position Paper regarding GVRD Powers, Structure, and Functions be approved and
forwarded to GVRD.
