SUBJECT: Two Additional Tennis Courts at Reeve Street Park

Recommendation

1. That we proceed with the building of the two tennis -
courts at Reeve Street Park at a cust of $88,200.

2. That the monies for this project be taken from the
park D.C.C. interest, ;

Last year Council approved $71,000 to build two tennis courts at
Reeve Street Park. The Parks & Recreation department felt that it
was also necessary to provide a practise wall on the outside of the
courts with a 1/2 court practise arza. This feature greatly enhances
the usability of the six tenuis courts. We have had requests from
both the public and the tennis club to provide such a practise area.

The proposed cost of $88,200 includes the practise area. The monies
for this project would come from park D.C.C. interest.
