The City of Port Coquitiam is celebrating its’ 75th Birthday } in 1988 and is Sponsoring ongoing events designed to entertain of their community. A focal point of this special local history is the annual May Day Parade, an occasion that itself is entering its' 70th year. Tf possible we would like this parade to be viewed by all residents of Port Coquitlam, North and South. We would, therefore, respectfully submit the ministry CONSIDER the temporary closure of the Lougheed Highway, Saturday, May 14th from 12 noon until 2:00 pm. Suggested detour routes could be the Mary Hill By-Pass and | the Westwood/Kingsway arterial route. It is to be noted, however, that at this point, the request be deemed informal . in nature.
