following municipalities in the Lower Mainland permit burning by
Permit from the Fire Department.

District of Coquitlam
City of Port Moody
District of Surrey

West Vancouver

North Vancouver District
Delta

Maple Ridge

Ri.chmond

New Westminster
Vancouver

Most of these have some form of regulation, for example, power to cancel
the permit if burning is not progressing satisfactorily and there are
regulations permitting 24 hour burning, use of demolition material or
diesel fuel to keep fires burning.

Burnaby permits burning only by trench burner and North Vancouver
City permits burning only by City crews.
