Dear Sir: The Coquitlam and District Safety Council is in receipt of your letter of October 27, 1971 in which you request that the Safety Council implement a Bicycle Safety Training Frogram in co-operation with School District No. 43 (Coquitiam). attacked, . ; am pleased to advise that this project has already been proposed and that action has been taken in a nunbver of schools. The Council is currently in the process of compiling a budget for 1972 to be presented to the Frovincial Government through the B. C. Safety Council. Funds will be requested to supply materials and some personnel to implement the Bicycle Safety Frozram. The extent of this program will depend in pert upon the funds made available to this Safety Council. Finally, it must be realized that the success of such a program does not just rest with the Safety Council or with the schools but with the total community.
