a metal customized. badge
made for each of the drums;
however, deMelo had al-
ready planned to give the
drum to his. 12-year-old son |
who also drums.

: “I didn’t expect it to hap-
pen,’ * he said last week.

But «they disassembled
the drum and replaced the
badge with one featuring his

- son’s engraved name.

“Their attention’ to de-

tail... they took the time’ to

do it,” deMelo said. “That’s
just the way. they are.”

After a three- month hold- .

up at customs,. the: drum has~
arrived. It will be on display
in the store’s showroom but

only for a little while.
“My son wants it,” Said,

deMelo.
