Marie-Lise Pilote

Humoriste, animatrice et comédienne, Marie-Lise Pilote a su faire sa marque
dans le paysage culturel québécois. D’abord connue comme « la fille » du
Groupe Sanguin, elle enchaine les succés sur scéne avec trois spectacles
‘ solo et plus d’un millier de représentations. A aube de la célébration de ses
30 ans de carriére, I'humoriste est de retour sur scene en 2012, avec son
quatrigme one woman show, « Réconfortante », pour le plus grand bonheur
de tous. La critique est unanime et le nouveau spectacle de Marie-Lise ne
| regoit que des louanges. En mai 2013, « Réconfortante » recoit d’ailleurs trois
nominations au 15e Gala les Olivier, dans les catégories Spectacle d’humour
de l'année, Mise en scéne et Auteurs.

Comedian, host and actor, Marie-Lise Pilote has made her mark on Quebec's
cultural landscape. Initially known as «the girl» in Groupe Sanguin, one of Quebec's
most iconic Comedy Act in the ‘80's and early ‘90s, she had a series of hits with three
solo shows and over 1,000 performances. On the verge of celebrating 30 years in
show business, the comedian retumed to the stage in 2012 for her fourth
one-woman show, «Réconfortante» (Comforting), to the delight of all. For this show
she worked with long-time collaborator Dominique Lévesque on the show’s direction
and with Robert Boulos on set design and lighting for a cutting-edge look. To
everyone's delight, Marie-Lise the comedian was back, treating the public to a
refreshing, touching and comforting show!

Growing up as a shy kid, Acadian artist JC Surette always observed others. In this
battle against shyness, he constantly wanted to entertain people around him. He
defines Stand Up Comedy as a pure art form that requires analytical thinking mixed
with observational skills. This actor in the making is obsessed with crowds. He
studies them. This creative and imaginative young man is constantly looking out for
funny out in the real world.
