teil H rape An . p “A ee ia ee 1 ON OF THE CITY OF PORT CCOUITLAM MAR 1 4 4 BYLAW NO, 2283 A Bylaw to Provide for Council Member, Officer and Employee Expenses WHEREAS Section 259 and 267 of the Municipal Act empower City Council to provide for payment of certain expenditures and expenses by Council members and the officers and employees of the City; NOW ‘THEREFORE the Council of the City of Port Coquitlam in open meeting assembled enacts as follows: | 1. This bylaw may be cited as "Travel Expenses Bylaw No. 2883." Application of Bylaw 2. This bylaw applies to Council members and to officers and employees of the City (other than employees covered by a collective agreement) who: (a) represent the City; (bd) engage in municipal business; or (c) attend a meeting, course or convention on behalf of the City. Qualifying Expenses and Expendivores 3. The foliowing types of expenses and expenditures qualify for payment under this bylaw, subject to the limitations in this bylaw: | (a) hotel accommodation charges; (b) transportation costs to other municipalities or provinces, including charges for use of a person's own vehicle; Haas (c) meal costs for the person and their guests, including gratuities; vik ll . alt aye! meeting, course and convention charges; re (ec) incidental expenses, including without limitation telephone, photocopying or facsimile transmission charges; laundry charges and local transportation costs; and “ye (f) taxes on all the above items; actually incurred by a Council member, officer or employee. 2833 qe te aate beats gene Sy t cars
