Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Talbot: That Council approve the installation of amber flashing lights on the existing pedestrian signal at Shaughnessy and Fraser at an estimated cost of $1,100. That $1,100 be allocated from the Future Capital Works Reserve for this purpose. Carried Alderman Wright voted against the resolution. From the City Engineer, April 30, 1992 regarding a Crosswalk at McAllister and Maple. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Talbot: That. a stop sign be installed at the south east corner of McAllister and Maple for northbound traffic. Carried From the Project Engineer, dated April 23, 1992 regarding the Fraser Basin Management Agreement. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Gordon: That Council in open meeting assembled resolves to: (a) enter into the Fraser Basin Management Program Agreement (being an Agreement among the Government of Canada, the Government of the Province of British Columbia and those municipalities and regional districts that become signatorles to the Agreement); authorize the Mayor and Clerk/Chairperson and Secretary to execute the Agreement by and on behalf of the Municipality (and to affix the Corporate Seal); authorize the Mayor to appoint a representative ta the Local Government Steering Committee; direct the Treasurer to prepare an amendment to the proposed 1992 budget to authorize the sharing of Steering Committee representation costs under the Agreement, such that the appropriate budgetary bylaws will be enacted before the Municipality becomes liable for the costs (the per capita costs would not be ineurred until Year II of the Program, being 1993-4). Carried Alderman Keryluk voted against the resolution.
