sy ts COU 3 1990 TYE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM MEMORANDUM TO: B.R. Kirk DATE: July 19, 1990 City Administrator FROM: D.G. Riecken Deputy City Engineer SUBJECT: Parking Adjacent to 1990 Coquitlam Avenue (Public Works Committee Meeting July 17, 1990) RECOMMENDATION: That additional parking restrictions not be placed on Coquitlam Avenue at this time. BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: At the Public Hearing held on July 9, 1990 a resident of Coquitlam Avenue complained that residents of existing apartments on the street do not park in their underground parking structures, but use the street instead. At present there is a no parking from 3:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. on the south side of Coquitlam between Flint and Cambridge as shown on the attached sketch. The Committee considered extending this restriction further eastward or imposing a three hour time limit on the parking. It was felt that either of these options would be an inconvenience to the local residents. [It is therefore recommended that no additional parking restrictions be placed on Coquitlam at this time. f ward S 7, th ~ ยข a4 Mile hln~ dS . D.G. Riecken, P. Eng.
