Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Security Fence - McLean Park (Parks & Recreation Committee - July 4, 1990).. Recommendation 1. That $4,800 be approved for fencing around the McLean Park Grandstand. oes 2. That the $4,800 be taken from park D.C.C. interest. Background of Recommendation: a) robl j wi For the past few years many softball tournaments have been held at McLean Park. Many of the organizers of the ball tournaments have sponsored beer gardens during their events. Recently the R.C.M.P. have requested that a secured area is required for the beer garden. Also we have experienced much vandalism in the grandstand area, particularly in the evening. t 1. By providing a security fence around the grandstand area we will hopefully solve the vandalism problem. The R.C.M.P. have indicated that with the proposed fencing that the security requirements for "beer gardens" will also be fulfilled. Attached is a diagram of the security fencing.
