Prior to passage of the above-stated resolution, renderings of the project were placed on display, and Alderman Thompson briefly spoke to the comparison between the previous proposal and the one now under consideration. RATS A discussion then took place with respect to Application R#21/73, proposing to rezone from RS-2 (One~Family Suburban Residential) to RS-1 (One-Family Residential), a 10-acre parcel at Cedar Drive and Lincoln Avenue for subdivision into roughly 53 lots. Alderman Traboulay inquired why the development was desirable, and the City Engineer replied because it is desirable to complete services in the area. Alderman Traboulay commented that there is presently only one bridge for pedestrians over the a Cedar Drive ditch which is used extensively, and Alderman Mabbett agreed and pointed out that the bridge now serves a much larger area than when initially built. Mr. Don Ray, President of the Association of Concerned Citizens, was in attendance and stated he was not against development, but it has to be planned, and he also expressed concern at the increase in vehicular traffic that will be generated by the proposed subdivision.
